Final Mallorca Seminar for 2013

seminarhominfoThere are a couple of dates available for booking the room for a seminar in Mallorca. Due to the increase in V.A.T. being imposed on Spain, the room rates have increased a lot. It is preferable to book the room for the comfort of the number of attendees rather than book a too large room for huge extra cost.

A two day seminar will cost between £350-£400 . This will include break refreshments and snacks. There will need to be a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20 attendees.

The dates available are: September 28/29th. October 5/6th or October 12/13th. Please check your calendars and respond to the email address at the top of the page with the date that suits you. I have checked flight availability and hotel rates and the most reasonable appears to be October 5/6th. I will however see which date suits most people.

First of all, a flight and a weeks stay in Mallorca will cost from a very reasonable £200. I recommend http://travelrepublic.co.uk for good service and prices. I can suggest hotels that I am familiar with once a date and  area is decided on for holding the venue. I have always recommended for those attending a seminar to arrive on the Thursday before the weekend, get relaxed, come to the Seminar and work hard, then have a few days off before returning home on the Thursday. It will be a little cooler in October, yet still pleasant and generally comfortable weather. Some attendees have even brought their spouses and children and had a holiday.

For those that request a private consultation, I am available after the seminar. If anyone attending wants to be involved in a Seminar live case taking session in front of attendees, the consultation will be free. (Follow ups will be via SKYPE or landline telephone for a follow up fee).

We request a  deposit of £100 when you book your place. The balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the Seminar. We invoice through PAYPAL. We would also suggest that once committed, you book your flight and accommodation to ensure transport to the Island. http://travelrepublic.co.uk ask for a deposit and the balance paid 4-6 weeks prior to flying. Most companies do this now.

You can bring whatever repertory you are comfortable with. I will be demonstrating via Powerpoint and computer projection, the strengths of Hahnemanns method and how to use the repertory. If you are bringing a laptop, do not forget that Spain requires an adaptor for the power plug.

Attendees will also be offered a special Seminar price on Repertory Software.

Any questions please email us on seminars@garyweaver.org

Kindness.

tears-of-joy3I was very touched today. We at the I.H.M. and P&W are working on  presenting Seminars in Europe, Israel and Mexico. For the traveling involved in Europe, a standard size projector was a little large to carry around, so I purchased a small group mini projector that will give a reasonable powerpoint demo to 20 people or so. Really small and fits in my bag easily.

During a consultation today, with the wife of a lovely couple I treat long distance, she inquired as to what was was happening on the teaching front etc, (they ALWAYS ask, being keen homoeopathic mindedpeople themselves) I mentioned that the Spanish seminars were being prepared and that I had a lovely new projector to take over there for the videos, powerpoints, cases etc… and I was immediately instructed to accept a donation towards the cost of the projector!

Kindness always touches me. And to Marcia and Ed, you touched me. On behalf of the future students who will benefit from the presentations, I thank you muchly.

Teaching Seminar, Mallorca, End of 2013

hero3-e3ec413d-c2fc-4fa6-90dd-546ad6751ef2UPDATE: The June dates are now not available for further participants. Sorry to disappoint.

***************

We are looking at a final 2013 date for September October or November depending on numbers and requirements. The minimum attendees for the end of the year is 8 and maximum is 50. As soon as we know the approx numbers we can book the appropriate venue for the Seminar.

Many people visiting the island, book a week or two weeks holiday with their family and then attend the function and still have time for relaxation and a rest after.

**************

The language the seminar will be conducted in will be English. We will be presenting many case examples and presentations to show Hahnemanns methodology.

**************

After several private training sessions with solo practitioners, We have decided to offer a group training in the Hahnemannian/Boenninghausen methodology, which is the most successful application of the therapy in the world.

P & W have researched the works of Boenninghausen and Hahnemann for over 11 years, and have produced a computerised repertory in 4 languages based on the original 1846 German edition, which has been meticulously corrected and completely retranslated in the English, Spanish and Hebrew languages. The work, which took 4 years to complete, uses the original layout of Boenninghausen, and therefor is familiar to students who use Allens version. Each rubric has been carefully checked for language meaning in the 18th/19th century, and amended carefully to represent the original intent of the author for description of a disease or eruption or location.

Modern students of homoeopathy have not been exposed to the accuracy of this repertory. Once the key symptoms are noted, the choices of medicines are indicated with absolute certainty, and a brief read of the Materia Medica will determine the final choice for prescription.

The repertory is easy to use. The methodology takes a little practice.  We have honed a practitioner training course to 3 days, from which the basics and methodology will be fully inculcated in the receptive physician.

The teaching will include the following points among many others:

  • What we are looking for in disease.(According to Hahnemann)
  • What symptoms are important.
  • How to isolate key symptoms.
  • How to find the pivotal symptoms in totality.
  • What totality means.
  • How to track the disease/medicinal progress and when to change medicine.
  • How to evaluate progress
  • When to repeat a dose
  • When to wait on a dose, and why.
  • When to finish treatment
  • How to use the repertory with confidence.
  • How to reduce consultation times by getting the necessary prescribing information quickly, and eliminating the spurious questions.
  • How to use the Materia Medica.

A 3 day Seminar is being planned for the latter end of the year (2013) to be held in Mallorca. The location was chosen for ease of access for European attendees, and relative inexpensiveness of accommodation.

The Seminar cost, depending on numbers, will include Water, Tea and Coffee.

All meals, travel costs, accommodation etc, is the responsibility of the student. We estimate that Seminar costs for 3 days will be in the region of €450-€500 depending on numbers. Depending on numbers, we will try and keep the Seminar in the Palma region for ease of getting to.

Example costs to the Island. A week in Mallorca in October can be as low as €250 including flights

If you are interested in the Seminar, Please drop an email to gw@boenrep.com

More details will follow in due course.

HOMEOPATHY IN LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION – A Webinar in Agriculture Applications of Homeopathy

August 7 – August 30, 2012This 12 hour series (one hour sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 4 consecutive weeks) will explore the opportunities unique to the partnership of homeopathy and sustainable organic agriculture.  We will explore how this partnership has the potential to reverse and correct many of the global problems present today.  To do so, we will look at the unique application of homeopathy within each major farming system and how these applications can foster health in each individual animal, each farm and farm family, and in the populations using the products from these farms.

We will study the theory and philosophy of homeopathy as they mesh with the legal and philosophical mandates of organic agriculture during the first sessions.  The later sessions will concentrate on the mechanics and the application of homeopathy in farming situations and on the proper use of the repertory and material medica to find the remedy best suited to the situation.  Included will be a material medica study of the common acute and emergency remedies used on the farm.

Each session will be recorded and you will be given unlimited access to the recording for review or if it is more convenient to study the course at times other than when the live session is offered.  In addition to the recordings, you will receive a complete set of course notes and a file containing each week’s PowerPoints for further review.

An Advanced Webinar in Animal Homeopathy for Both the Lay Prescriber and the Professional Homeopath

During this series we will explore techniques for tackling those difficult animal health cases that come our way by learning a more in-depth use of the repertory, the use of Boenninghausen’s analysis techniques, and the basics of Hahnemann’s miasms.

This will be followed by a systematic approach to the second prescription based on the changes noted in the patient after the first prescription and how to follow up as the patient responds to the remedy; the timing of redoses; guides to changing potencies; and a more in-depth look at assessing cure, palliation, and suppression.

The series will continue with specific remedy categories and dosing techniques from dry dosing, to wet dosing, to LM potencies and will end with a material medica study of the common polychrest remedies.

Case studies to illustrate these techniques will be included.

Webinar begins Tuesday, June 28, 2011, 7:00PM Central. Class size is limited.
